How to install ubuntu in virtual machine step by step
in this tutorial I will show you how to install ubuntu 11.10 in virtual machine
requirements
VMware workstation
or
VMware player
Ubuntu image file : download link
lets get started ..
1 : create new virtual machine
2: choose disk
3: choose ram and virtual hdd
4 : uncheck the box
5 : remove autoinst.iso and autoinst.flp
.
6: start virtual machine
7 : follow simple installation steps

8 : after install start the virtual machine
9: click on VM and choose install VMware tools
10 : copy vmware tools files to desktop
11 : extract VMware tools by typing
“ tar –xvzf VMwaretools-8.8.0-471268.tar.gz”
12 : execute vmware script
perl vmware-install.pl
13 : reboot and enjoy !
